Single-Target GLP-1 Pens for Weight Loss

A once-weekly injection from the most established GLP-1 class — patients in our specialist-managed program lose 15 to 20 percent of their body weight in their first year.

Qualifying patients complete a comprehensive bloodwork panel (starting from $485, 95% refundable if our specialist determines you’re not a candidate) before your first prescription ships. Bloodwork lets our specialist confirm the protocol is safe for you and sets a baseline for monitoring.

Who is eligible for Single-Target GLP-1 Pens?

Single-Target GLP-1 Pens may be appropriate for adults working toward sustained weight loss — typically those with a higher BMI or weight-related markers their family doctor has flagged. Eligibility is confirmed after your initial assessment, bloodwork, and a review with a Gambit specialist, not at checkout. The eligibility fee covers the specialist’s clinical review regardless of outcome; if you skipped eligibility and went straight to comprehensive bloodwork, you receive a 95% refund on that cost if you’re not approved.

Which Canadian provinces is the Weight Loss program available in?

We serve patients across Canada, with active lab coverage in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec, and more. Patients outside our primary provinces are typically supported through alternate lab arrangements, and our health team will confirm what’s available in your region during onboarding. Shipping windows can vary by province.

Can I use my Health Spending Account or extended health insurance?

Many patients reimburse part of their treatment through an employer Health Spending Account or private extended health insurance. Gambit doesn’t bill insurers directly — instead, we provide an itemized receipt after each charge that you can submit to your plan administrator. Coverage rules vary plan by plan, so check with your administrator before assuming a specific amount will be reimbursed.

I’ve already been prescribed a GLP-1 — can I continue at my current dose?

Often, yes. If you’ve been stable on a GLP-1 medication and have recent prescriber records to share, your Gambit specialist may continue you at or near your current dose rather than restarting the titration ladder. Bring your prescription history and any recent bloodwork to your initial consult so the specialist can plan the safest continuation path.

Will my cost go up at higher doses?

Medication pricing scales with dose strength because higher-strength pens cost more from the pharmacy. Your Gambit specialist titrates your dose gradually based on tolerance and response, and you’ll see the cost for each step before any change. The titration ladder for this medication can extend over several months, so price changes happen one rung at a time — never all at once. The structure is transparent: per-pen pricing for your current dose at every renewal.

What side effects should I be aware of?

The most common side effects are gastrointestinal — nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and reduced appetite — and they typically ease as your body adjusts. Because the dose is titrated upward gradually over several months, your specialist can pause or slow the ladder if a step isn’t well tolerated. Less common but more serious risks include pancreatitis, gallbladder issues, and allergic reactions; this medication is also not appropriate for patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2. Your Gambit specialist will review your full medical history before prescribing and monitor you throughout treatment. If you experience nausea, ask our health team about adding anti-nausea medication to your plan.

How long until I see results?

Most patients begin to notice appetite changes within the first few weeks. Visible weight change typically appears within the first few months, with progress continuing as the dose is titrated up. Results vary based on starting weight, dose, lifestyle factors, and individual response — your Gambit specialist will check in with you a few times within your first few months, with ongoing follow-ups throughout the year.

Are GLP-1 medications safe for long-term use?

GLP-1 receptor agonists have been studied for over a decade, and this drug class has the longest real-world track record of any GLP-1 therapy in Canada under Health Canada approval. Long-term safety data continues to develop, and ongoing monitoring is part of how the medication is used responsibly. Your Gambit specialist tracks bloodwork and clinical markers throughout treatment and adjusts the plan based on how your body responds.

Can I take this alongside other Gambit programs?

In many cases, yes. Patients commonly combine the Weight Loss program with TRT, HGH, hair loss, or sexual health programs when clinically appropriate. Your Gambit specialist reviews your full intake and current medications before approving any combination, and bloodwork is coordinated so you don’t get re-poked for overlapping panels.

Where does my prescription get filled?

Your prescription is dispensed by a Health Canada–licensed Canadian pharmacy and shipped to you in discreet packaging. Every pen comes with the manufacturer’s DIN, lot number, and expiry on the label. If you have questions about a specific shipment or delivery window, our health team can pull up your order details.
