Important safety information
About this medication
Skin & Hair Peptide is a topical peptide protocol prescribed to support the skin’s collagen and elastin scaffolding, assist post-cleanse barrier recovery, and support healthy scalp and follicle activity. It is applied once daily to the skin and scalp after cleansing and before sunscreen — the effect accumulates with consistent use over months rather than working from a single application.
Our internal medicine specialist will determine whether this protocol is the right option for you based on your intake, your skin and scalp goals, your medical history, and the rest of the products and medications you’re using.
How to use it
- Apply once daily to the areas your specialist has approved — typically the face, neck, and scalp — after cleansing and before sunscreen.
- Use clean fingertips or a clean applicator. A small amount goes a long way; do not over-apply.
- Most patients notice subtle changes in skin hydration and texture during the early weeks of consistent daily use. More visible changes in firmness, clarity, and scalp condition build over the first few months — the effect compounds, it does not appear overnight.
- Separate this protocol from strong topical acids and retinoids (apply them at a different time of day) to reduce the risk of irritation and to avoid one product undoing the other.
- If you miss a day, simply resume the next day at the usual time. Do not double up the following application to compensate.
- Sunscreen is required alongside this protocol — daily, on every treated area, regardless of season or sky.
- Do not change application frequency, technique, or treatment area without checking in with our specialist.
Common side effects
- Mild redness, warmth, or short-lived burning at the application site, especially in the first days.
- Temporary skin dryness or flaking.
- Mild itching or local irritation.
Less common side effects
- Local allergic reaction — rash, hives, increased itch, or localized swelling at the application site.
- Worsening of underlying skin sensitivity or pre-existing dermatitis.
- Headache, nausea, or general malaise (more common with systemic use; rare with topical).
Stop and contact your Gambit health team or seek medical care
- Difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, or any signs of a serious allergic reaction — seek emergency care immediately.
- Severe or rapidly worsening rash, hives, or skin reaction in or beyond the treated area — seek emergency care if symptoms escalate quickly.
- Chest pain, severe dizziness, or sudden severe symptoms of any kind — seek emergency care immediately.
- Persistent or worsening side effects that don’t settle after the first days of starting the protocol — message your Gambit health team and we’ll route the question to our specialist.
Who this is not for
- Anyone with a known allergy or hypersensitivity to peptide-class medicines or to any ingredient in the formulation.
- Anyone with a copper metabolism disorder (such as Wilson’s disease) or severe liver disease — copper accumulates in the liver, and this protocol is not appropriate without specialist screening.
- Active skin infection, severe acne flare, or open or inflamed wounds in the treatment area — wait until the area has healed and consult our specialist before resuming.
- Discuss with our specialist if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have an active cancer in or near the area you would treat.
- Children and adolescents — this protocol is prescribed for adult patients only.
Other products and medications to disclose
- All other topical prescriptions and over-the-counter skincare — especially retinoids, retinoic acid, alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids, benzoyl peroxide, and any prescription acne or anti-aging treatments.
- All scalp and hair products you currently use, including any topical finasteride / minoxidil formulations — application sequencing may need to be adjusted.
- Any recent or upcoming in-office procedures — microneedling, laser resurfacing, chemical peels, injectables — so our specialist can sequence the protocol around them.
- Other prescription medications, supplements, and substances you use, plus your full medical history.
Our specialist will weigh all of this alongside your goals before issuing or continuing a prescription.

Great experience with Get Gambit Clinic. The team is professional, friendly, and very helpful. Everything was smooth and easy from start to finish. I've even added my wife to the program because of how good the experience has been. Highly recommend.
Gambit was amazing , it definitely changed my life. At first to be honest I thought I was paying too much until I started treatment. I was getting checked in on frequently. I had all my inquiries and calls answered with in 24 hours even on weekends. I had amazing check up time with proper care and proper explanation of my blood work. The quality of care is honestly very different from the clinic I came from and it's the best I have seen.
Very professional team and great service. They take the time to explain everything and make sure you're taken care of. Really happy with my experience
Great experience overall. The team at Get Gambit was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with from start to finish. Everything was explained clearly, and the process felt smooth and well organized. I appreciated the responsiveness and attention to detail throughout. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality service and a reliable team.
Has been super good so far. Anytime I have any questions about anything they are always happy to help. The process was pretty straightforward and simple. Starting to feel much better.
Get Gambit has been the best! Best decision ever!! The customer service has been phenomenal, You can tell Get Gambit values the patient experience. From intake to consultation, everything felt structured but still personal. They took time to understand the situation instead of offering a generic solution.. I know what a great company looks like, they treat their customers like kings. Eric has been very knowledgeable and responsive. Dr. Salim tailored a custom plan to my needs. All the assessments were virtual which was very convenient for me. The medications are usually covered by the insurance and deliveries have discreet and really fast. Highly grateful for finding this professional online clinic, again best decision ever!!
This feels like how healthcare should be in 2026: efficient, digital, and personalized. Booking was easy, the consultation was smooth and totally free and the care plan made sense. From my first inquiry to my follow-up appointment, the customer service at Get Gambit exceptionally stood out, Eric has been very helpful. Every message was answered quickly and clearly. I never felt like I was chasing anyone for updates. The team made sure I understood each step and checked in afterward to see how things were going. That level of responsiveness makes a big difference.
I had an excellent experience with Get Gambit. I ran into a delivery issue where the carrier lost my package containing a three-month supply of TRT and Pregnyl. Despite the situation being out of their control, Eric handled the case quickly and professionally. He took charge of the issue right away and arranged for my order to be reshipped at no additional cost. The communication was clear, reassuring, and efficient throughout the entire process. Great customer service, reliable support, and a company that truly stands behind its customers. I highly recommend Get Gambit.
Initially had issues/misunderstandings with billing shipping, etc. there seemed to be a bit of disconnect between the Dr and the support team. The doctor himself has been awesome… informative and available which is had to find. I just started my first week and everything appears to be sorted out personally by him. His follow up shows me that he takes pride in how his company works. Definitely ain't cheap lol but if you have an insurance carrier that covers a portion of it I would say go for it. We'll see what happens in the next few months with this 55 yr old
THE PROTOCOL
What is skin and hair peptide?
A once-daily topical peptide protocol.
Skin and hair peptide is a topical medicine applied once each morning to clean skin, before sunscreen. It’s prescribed by a specialist, prepared in a Canadian pharmacy under that prescription, and built around skin renewal — a multi-month course rather than a one-week promise. It sits in a category of its own — not the cosmetic-aisle serum you can buy off a shelf, not the in-office procedure with a chair and downtime — and that’s the most useful thing to know before reading further.
How does the protocol work?
The protocol works by supporting the structural proteins that hold skin firm — collagen and elastin — and the body’s existing repair processes for the skin’s surface and underlying layers. You apply one measured amount once each morning to clean skin, gently across the face, neck, and any treated scalp area, then layer sunscreen on top once it’s absorbed. Our specialist sets the application area and the course based on your intake and your goals, and a Canadian licensed pharmacy prepares it to that prescription. Subtle changes in hydration and surface texture often show up in the early weeks of consistent use; the more visible changes in firmness and clarity build over the first few months. For patients also working on slow scalp thinning, the same protocol can extend to the scalp — though the evidence for hair and scalp is still building, and our specialist will set honest expectations at the start.
Is this protocol right for me?
It fits adults — women and men, broadly mid-thirties and up — who can see the visible accumulation of aging on skin and scalp and want a specialist-led protocol rather than another rotation of products that didn’t hold their promise: the reader who watches the jawline soften and the cheek lose its bounce, the reader noticing the crown thinning enough to change how they part their hair, the reader whose skin feels less resilient than it used to after a poor night’s sleep or a cold week. It fits people who want a structured course of medicine under specialist supervision rather than the cosmetic-aisle shelf or the dermatology chair as the only two options. It does not fit anyone whose intake flags a copper metabolism disorder or significant liver concerns, an active skin infection or inflamed flare in the treatment area, current pregnancy or breastfeeding, or an active cancer near where the protocol would be applied — those screens are clinical calls, and our specialist makes them after reading your intake. Whether this protocol is the right fit for you — or whether something else on our shelf would serve your case better — is a clinical call our specialist makes once the picture is complete.

The Executive Ceiling is Biological.
Introducing Gambit Gold — Canada’s most advanced executive health program. It gives you direct, one-on-one video meetings with Dr. Hatem Salim — Gambit’s medical director, internal medicine specialist, and Associate Professor of Medicine at Western University — on demand. He walks you through your file and explains exactly what every marker means, and what to do next.
A yearly physical sees a snapshot. Gold builds a record.
Who is this protocol for, and who isn't it for?
The protocol fits women and men noticing the slack and dullness many people see in their skin around mid-life, the slow thinning many people notice in their scalp, or the cumulative wear of years on skin that used to bounce back faster. It fits patients who want a calm, daily, evidence-supported routine rather than another in-office procedure or another bathroom shelf of products that promise more than they deliver.
The protocol is not for patients with a copper-metabolism disorder such as Wilson’s disease, or with significant liver disease — copper accumulates in the liver and this protocol isn’t appropriate without specialist screening. It isn’t for patients with an active skin infection, severe acne flare, or open wounds in the treatment area until those are settled. It isn’t for patients who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or who have an active cancer in or near the area they’d treat — those cases are individual specialist conversations. And it isn’t prescribed to children or adolescents.
How long until I see results?
Subtle changes in hydration and surface texture often show up during the early weeks of consistent daily use — the kind of change you notice in the mirror more than anyone else does. The more visible changes — firmness coming through, clarity returning, scalp condition steadier — build over the first few months. The effect compounds with consistent application rather than spiking from any single one.
If you’re starting from a baseline of cumulative photodamage, dryness, or scalp thinning that took years to settle in, give the protocol the runway it actually needs before judging whether it’s working. Most patients who stop early stop right before the more visible changes were starting to register. Our internal medicine specialist will review your progress and tell you honestly whether the protocol is doing what it should at the cadence it should.
Can I keep using my retinoids, acids, and sunscreen alongside this?
Sunscreen stays — daily, on every treated area, regardless of season. The protocol works alongside sunscreen rather than against it, and skipping sun protection on treated skin undoes some of what the protocol is trying to support.
Strong topical acids and retinoids — prescription retinoids, glycolic, salicylic, anything aggressive — should be separated from the protocol by time of day. Most patients keep the protocol on a morning routine and run their acids or retinoids at night. That sequencing reduces the risk of irritation and keeps either product from undoing the other.
If you’re already on prescription topical scalp products such as a topical finasteride or minoxidil formulation, your Gambit health team will work out the application sequencing with you so the products aren’t fighting each other for the same window. List every active product on your routine — prescription and over-the-counter — when you complete your intake. Our specialist will tell you what stays, what stops, and what shifts to a different time of day.
Can I use this on my scalp for hair thinning?
Yes — scalp application is part of how this protocol is prescribed, and the wiki and clinical literature both support topical use on skin and scalp. That said, the evidence base for hair and scalp outcomes is honestly less established than the evidence for skin. Preclinical and early human work points in the right direction — hair-follicle stimulation, hair-shaft thickening, regrowth in some patients — but large, high-quality trials in hair loss are still building. We won’t tell you the hair evidence is settled. It isn’t.
What that means practically: if your primary goal is significant regrowth in advanced thinning, this protocol on its own is unlikely to be the full answer. Our specialist may pair it with one of Gambit’s established hair-loss therapies, or route you to that program as the primary intervention with this protocol in a supportive role. Bring your scalp goals — and any hair-loss treatments you’ve already tried — to your intake so our specialist can tell you honestly where this protocol fits for your case.
Is this the same as the over-the-counter peptide serums I see at the drugstore?
Same molecule family, different category of product. Cosmetic-aisle peptide serums sit under the cosmetic regulatory framework — that means the formulation, strength, vehicle, sterility, and labelled claims are governed differently than they would be for a prescription medicine. The strengths tend to be lower, the vehicles are formulated for shelf life and cosmetic feel rather than clinical efficacy, and there’s no specialist standing behind your individual case before you start using one.
The protocol here is prescribed by our specialist after intake review, prepared to your prescription by a Canadian licensed pharmacy at a medical-grade strength and vehicle, and dispensed under provincial pharmacy oversight. Your medical history — including the contraindication screens — is part of the decision before a prescription is issued. That’s the chain that’s different from picking a serum off a shelf.
None of this means the cosmetic-aisle products are useless — many people get something from them, especially for very early or mild concerns. It means the prescription path is built for a different cohort and a different level of clinical responsibility.
Can I use this if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
No, not while pregnant or breastfeeding. The high-quality safety data for prescription topical peptides during pregnancy and lactation isn’t there yet — and where the data isn’t there, the conservative path is to wait. Our specialist won’t prescribe the protocol during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and we’d recommend pausing the protocol if you’re actively trying to conceive.
If you’ve been using the protocol and learn you’re pregnant, message your Gambit health team. We’ll route the question to our specialist and walk through next steps with you — the answer typically involves discontinuing the protocol while resuming your sun protection and standard skincare basics, but the specifics depend on your case.
What does getting started actually look like?
You start with a $100 online assessment. The assessment covers your skin and scalp goals, the products and medications you currently use, your relevant medical history — including the screens for the contraindications mentioned earlier — and the practical details about delivery and the treatment areas you’d want to use the protocol on.
Our specialist reviews the assessment. For topical use of this protocol, bloodwork generally isn’t required to get started — the screening is handled through the intake review rather than through a lab panel. If your case raises a question the specialist wants more information on (the copper-metabolism screen, for example), you’ll hear from us with the next step.
If you’re approved, the prescription is prepared by a Canadian licensed pharmacy at the strength and formulation our specialist has chosen for your case, then shipped discreetly to your door. From there, the daily routine starts and our specialist stays involved with check-ins as the protocol takes hold.
