Needle-Free GLP-1 Pills for Weight Loss

A specialist-prescribed daily oral GLP-1 — same hormone pathway as the injection without the needle — patients in our specialist-managed program lose 15–20% of their body weight in their first year.

Qualifying patients complete a comprehensive bloodwork panel (starting from $485, 95% refundable if our specialist determines you’re not a candidate) before your first prescription ships. Bloodwork lets our specialist confirm the protocol is safe for you and sets a baseline for monitoring.

The better way to lose weight

How it works

Needle-Free GLP-1 Pills are Health Canada–approved daily oral GLP-1 therapies that mimic a hormone regulating blood sugar and appetite.

Insulin Secretion

Stimulates the pancreas to release insulin when blood sugar rises, helping lower blood glucose.

Appetite Cravings

Acts on brain regions that regulate appetite, reducing hunger and increasing feelings of fullness.

Liver Glucose

Reduces the amount of sugar the liver releases between meals, supporting steadier blood-sugar levels through the day.

Gastric Emptying

Slows the rate the stomach empties into the intestines, extending feelings of fullness after meals and contributing to gradual weight reduction.

Patients in our program lose 15–20% of their body weight in their first year.

And 90% hit their goal inside 12 months — because the program is built to get you there, not keep you on it.

Who is eligible for Needle-Free GLP-1 Pills?

Needle-Free GLP-1 Pills may be appropriate for adults working toward sustained weight loss — particularly those who’ve been hesitant about an injectable GLP-1, want a daily routine they can travel with, or have a higher BMI or weight-related markers their family doctor has flagged. Eligibility is confirmed after your initial assessment, bloodwork, and a review with Gambit’s internal medicine specialist, not at checkout. The eligibility fee covers the specialist’s clinical review regardless of outcome; if you skipped eligibility and went straight to comprehensive bloodwork, that comprehensive cost is refunded if you’re not approved.

Which Canadian provinces is the Weight Loss program available in?

We serve patients across Canada, with active lab coverage in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec, and more. Patients outside our primary provinces are typically supported through alternate lab arrangements, and our health team will confirm what’s available in your region during onboarding. Shipping windows can vary by province.

Can I use my Health Spending Account or extended health insurance?

Many patients reimburse part of their treatment through an employer Health Spending Account or private extended health insurance. Gambit doesn’t bill insurers directly — instead, we provide an itemized receipt after each charge that you can submit to your plan administrator. Coverage rules vary plan by plan, so check with your administrator before assuming a specific amount will be reimbursed.

Are there special instructions for taking a Needle-Free GLP-1 Pill?

Yes — and the instructions matter. Take one tablet first thing each morning, swallow it whole with no more than four ounces of water, and wait at least thirty minutes before your first food, coffee, or other medication of the day. The thirty-minute fast and the small sip of water aren’t suggestions: they’re what allows the medication to be absorbed properly. Patients who take it with breakfast, with a full glass of water, or alongside another pill end up under-dosing themselves without realizing it.

The format does have one travel advantage worth knowing: tablets are stored at room temperature in their original blister pack, so there’s no fridge, no cold-chain shipping, and no insulated travel case to plan around. Our health team will walk you through the routine during onboarding and check in to make sure it’s working with your day.

Will my cost go up at higher doses?

Most patients begin at the lowest tablet strength for the first month, and your Gambit specialist may step the dose up over time depending on tolerance and response. Tablet strengths are dispensed at different price points by the pharmacy, so cost can change as the dose changes — you’ll see the exact monthly cost for each step before any change is prescribed. The titration is gradual on purpose, and you stay at each step long enough that pricing changes never happen all at once.

What side effects should I be aware of?

The most common side effects are gastrointestinal — nausea, decreased appetite, and either diarrhea or constipation — and they typically ease as your body adjusts. Because the dose is titrated upward gradually over several months, your Gambit specialist can pause or slow the ladder if a step isn’t well tolerated. Less common but more serious risks include pancreatitis, gallbladder issues including gallstones, and allergic reactions; this medication isn’t appropriate for patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2.

One detail specific to the daily oral format: this medication can change how other oral medications are absorbed. If you’re currently taking thyroid medication, an oral contraceptive, a blood thinner, or any daily prescription, tell your Gambit specialist during your assessment so they can review timing and dose with you before you start.

How long until I see results, and how often will I see a Gambit specialist?

Most patients begin to notice appetite changes within the first few weeks. Visible weight change typically appears within the first few months, with progress continuing as the dose is titrated up. Results vary based on starting weight, dose, lifestyle factors, adherence to the morning routine, and individual response — your Gambit specialist will check in with you a few times within your first few months while the dose is stabilizing. Once your protocol settles in, follow-ups continue throughout the year so the plan keeps fitting your goals, your bloodwork, and how you’re feeling. If anything changes between scheduled check-ins, you can reach out — you’re not waiting for the next calendar slot.
